I'm a civil engineer that can code. I have 10 years experience working in the concrete industry, using tools like AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel. I learned Python and other programming languages in my spare time, and am now using that to automate tasks at work.
In college, I worked as a tutor in calculus and physics, which I really enjoyed.
I still find those skills useful in my working life today.
As for my GED, I'm proud of it. It is a strength, not a weakness.
It was the first step on my journey to becoming an engineer, and a constant reminder to me to
take initiative and never stop learning.
